wtks

A former orlando resident who just looked at the most recent book. I guess WTKS isn't doing as well since howard left?? how are the monsters doing in that slot? it looks like some of the names have changed on that show....no jeff howell, no savannah and no blackbean>?

been away for a while

From the quick look-over I gave the book, looks like they're doing pretty well, especially in their target demos. Wasn't able to look at a daypart breakdown.

unfortunately, ill doubt the Clear Channel Orlando people are thrilled at the success (lack thereof) of their stations...whereas 3 or 4 years ago you are talking 3 of the top 5 stations in Orlando, CCOrlando has ONE station in the top 10! Sure thats only 12+, but i don't see their breakdowns, so i guess i wouldn't know...TKS, like ALL hot talk stations in the nation, miss Howard more than ANY of them would like to admit...

When did WCKS become WTKS and what happened to Russ Rollins?

It's awkward in a way that people like to tout the importance of live and local programming being such a ratings magnet when so many of these stations had their ratings driven by a syndicated show.

WCKS was on the 101.1 and WTKS is 104.1. As far as i know Russ is still on WTKS.
You'll find histories of all Central Florida stations at www.cflradio.net. Check us out.
