They were evacuated due to reports of smoke but were back on the air.

The staff at Tegna’s WTLV/WJXX (Jacksonville) were evacuated after the a loud bang and then the downtown building filled with a smoke smell.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department quickly responded to the incident which happened on Wednesday morning.

The electrical incident caused the station to loose their signal for about a half hour.
