V-32 WTMV
Oh man, I remember that too! I was living in St. Petersburg at the time. That was a cool station. The only VJ I've been able to follow (and one of my favorites) was George Lowe. He's now does several voices for Turner's Cartoon Network programs, most notably "Space Ghost". He's definitely hit it big doing voice work. Several of their promos on V-32 featured Starship's "We Built This City on Rock N' Roll". I too taped several segments but sadly they're long gone now...

Yes it was a cool station. I lived in Bradenton, FL at the time. When I was a kid, I had a TV in the bedroom that wasn't hooked up to cable, but why bother wishing for MTV when I had V-32! I do remember George Lowe (and some kid he had with him that would always be making goofy faces or something). And don't forget Mike Pachelli. What ever happened to him? He was a struggling musician too and was pretty good I think. Later on (in the early '90s) there was Haywood Henson who played country videos. And for awhile, V-32 aired the Q105 morning show (Q-Zoo tube). As for surviving tapes of the station, I wish I had some. I did have a Mike Pachelli show from 1993 (toward the end of their music video days) that survived until a few years ago... But I no longer have it.

Actually, by 1993, WTMV was already a general independent station, though they still had Mick Pachelli and the music videos on during late-nights on weekends. The show was cancelled soon after Hearst-Argyle took over the station in 1996.
