Per Robert Feder, Rick O'Dell is part of a new "urban jazz" format to launch in a few weeks on the translator at 103.9 that is being fed by that HD channel. It's not supposed to be as soft as Smooth Jazz Chicago, which will presumably continue online. For now, the HD-2 and translator will pump out smooth jazz Christmas music with infomercials for a hospital in drive times (really!) while O'Dell's smoothjazzchicago.net continues as it was. Dave Logan is also involved in programming for the new HD-fed translator.
