WTNH Weather Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Geoff Fox gave it a passing mention on his Facebook page, as they were his longtime employer. Of course, he lives in California now, so had little to say. Of course, some of his own discretions got him canned by WTIC-TV (FOX) channel 61 a couple of years ago. :(

If the allegations are proven, nobody's going to stop watching WTNH so long as (a) Goldstein is off the air and (b) nobody in management knew that Goldstein had this "hobby" until the authorities came through the door. Even then, people have short memories and deep loyalty to their favorite institutions, of which television stations are certainly part.

Case in point: The actions of one man at Penn State over perhaps 30 years were many times worse than the alleged recent actions of one man at WTNH. Have high school seniors stopped applying to Penn State in numbers necessary to fill out a graduating class? Is attendance at Penn State football games down? Is Penn State receiving significantly fewer donations from alumni? I think not, and this is with substantial proof that people there knew what was going on and did nothing about it for a long time.

WTNH will be fine, so long as their hands are clean. And in the long run, if human nature holds true to form, even if they're not.
