Look people, I have read all the posts on the board under the “mass exodus” and “Jack in Jackson” threads, and I have to say that I have never read so much bull crap in my life. First of all, MOST of what I have read has been incorrect and ALL has been a complete waist of my time. As a proud employee of Forever, I am pleasantly surprised that most of you “radio” people don’t get it! This means that I personally have over-estimated the competition. It is laughable to me that these boards are saying such great things about Thomas Media. This company is a subsidiary of Black Crow. Last time I checked they were having their butts handed to them in their home City of Daytona Beach Florida by a Froggy Station (WGNE). Now, that station has since then moved to Jacksonville, and no longer city-grades Daytona Beach. Black Crow’s “Flag-ship” WKRO-FM could not compete till they (WGNE) moved their tower out of town. Black Crow is a company that actually promoted Taft Moore to a corporate programming position (years back). If this is the best they have to offer…there is very little to worry about. Why not ask Cumulus how easy it’s been to kick Black Crow all around in Huntsville? As far as all the other rumors go, who cares? As soon as we have a team in place there, Forever will win…Mark it down.

That's purley an a assumption on YOUR part "wally"! I work here and that is just BS! You shoud try working for some politcal party as a spin doctor. Only, you'd need to have your facts in order a little better.

And what Forever did in other markets is not relevant to the Jackson market. They actually have competition in this market.

Wow! So all the other markets have no competition! I find that truly hard to believe. No competition in Daytona!!!? I think competition is a great thing! I tend to be pretty competitive myself. It's healthy for us all to compete and really brings out the best for everyone involved. It inspires creativity! So flame all you like. But I can tell by your negativity about FOREVER, that there's a whole bunch of SKEERD [EDIT] in this market. As well you should be. Let the games begin! This is going to be fun ya'll! Ha! Evidently "Forever" is good at forcing people out........what has happened to the "green part timer" that what with Conrad in the mornings on Eagle 104. This morning it was a "one" man show...just Conrad. I like Conrad but the station is sounding worse everyday. I'll "hop" on over to WYNN 106.9 from here on. I also heard Conrad wasn't going to stand for that.......he'll be relaxing on his own lilly pad......at home!

I am a current employee at Forever in Jackson and I have to say that working here is MISERABLE! Most people here are currently looking for other jobs because it's so bad. In fact, Conrad is quitting on June 30 because of all the lies and secrets. That says alot. Nine people have left or were fired since Forever took over. Those of us who remain feel like they are trying to force more out. Management is constantly going back on what they say. For example, most of us would have already quit if it weren't for the noncompetes we were forced to sign, despite being told in the beginning that they "don't believe in noncompetes". Current management doesn't know how to properly manage and motivate her employees. She is constantly making rude and sometimes very inappropriate comments to people. She manages by bulling and intimidation. This is to make up for the fact that she doesn't have a clue about radio. She got the job because she is best friends with the President. She needs to go back to selling vaccums. Our billing is the worst it's ever been. In fact, I heard that Thomas Media named her their May Salesperson of the Month because she has ran off so many clients. Nobody here really likes her; some of us go out with her after work because we feel we need to in order to keep our jobs. And those who are on this board defending how great things are and how great things are going to be, have made their own complaints about how bad it is to pretty much everybody in the building. The rumors about JACK are true as are alot of the other rumors on this board. I feel I can speak freely because I have a job offer that I will probably be taking in the very near future.

Just for the record, and not to be argumentative, using a pseudonym to post a negative opinion isn't "speaking freely," it's speaking in such a way as to avoid reprisal. Now, that can be taken one of two ways. Either you're telling the truth and fear that revealing your identity would mean getting fired come Monday, or you're using the cover of anonymity to poison matters. ...I have, obviously, enough credibility to post under my actual, God-given name. Of course, there are folks, such as Meep, who post under nicknames and are known talents, so their pseudonyms aren't particularly an issue. As I've said elsewhere, WTNV is a part of my personal radio history; I was the morning man/production director on The Snowy Slopes Of Broadcast MountainTM from the end of '91 through '93. I had wonderful success in the ratings, and got to know Conrad Delaney. Not to mention that 'TNV is where I met (and proposed on the air to) my lovely wife.If I've lobbied for an on-air position somewhere else, please highlight it for me. It's only been a handful of weeks since I've been out of a gig, and since I've haven't been gigless (is that a word?) in over ten years, my job-search skills might be a little rusty; I'd hate to think I was somehow subconsciously applying for a job by voicing my thoughts on a subject that means a lot to me.Regarding my level of credibility, I'll let others judge that for themselves. So, I guess it's true about Conrad since Forever's not denying it.Not a very smart move on Forever's part...but then they haven't exactly set the world on fire with their genius yet. That's sad because if they had the right people in charge, they could be huge.

ok first off... I'm not a part timer... I am the copywriter, and night talent (term used loosely) on Rock 92.3, Also production asst. and at this point I think a Programming Asst. but I think everybody is right now :- anyway... If you would read what was written earlier... I was taken off the morning show for two reasons... one produciton was getting so far backed up Greg was pulling "fifteen hour Fridays" and so that I could sleep...second.. about Conrad, i think he will do what ever he want's whenever he wants... that's the kind of person he is.. he doesn't pull punches and isn't easily bossed around... so if he's leaving I for one will really miss him... but i know it will be for personal reasons and will be what he decided was best for him, regardless of station ownership.

But, like I said before, even those defending Forever have made their own complaints(to several of us in the building).The response to postings seems to be the same from those defenders-that everything posted here is untrue. Somehow though, a lot of what has been posted has turned out to be true. Latest example of this: Conrad quitting!Now it's being said that it's a personal reason. Yeah, I guess being miserable coming in everyday, and being lied to,and not liking the way people here are being treated might be considered personal. Remember the meeting that Conrad was told "Oh Conrad, you know your not going anywhere, you'd die if you didn't work here". That's a great manager.And to the fact that alot of the postings are from a couple of different IPs so therefore it must just be a couple of people posting is stupid. Most people in the area have one of two different providers. I was not dumb enough to use my work computer to post. I used my laptop, which by the way, I have the same ISP as the station.
