Is this really stunting, or are they getting ready for the rapture tomorrow? ;D

Yet another station preparing for the Judgement Day prediction by Harold Camping of Family Radio. Some station in Missouri also is trying to do this as well, by airing 24 hours of R.E.M.'s "It's The End of The World as We Know It" on Saturday 5/21.

The prediction is a JOKE I tell you! Did you know they have been predicting the end of the world for decades now and it still hasn't happened.

It only makes too much sense for the country station that's trailing "The Wolf" to follow the advice of a pastor who's been on record of crying wolf! :D

Not really understanding this, Radio-Info made it their headline too which makes it ultra confusing...

it right and by that I mean do it right. Local morning guy, tradio, obits, the real deal and do it all day and all night. Watch that

At Clear Channel? What are you, nuts?

Local talk is so hard to do outside of top 10 markets consistently. Because you NEED TO PAY PEOPLE.

Look at WSJS, Mid-90s into the early 2000's they had TREMENDOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS local talk and they blew it up bit by bit and the station may as well be dead air now outside of their local morning show.
 
Nothing on WSJS now even mornings except my buddy Smith Patterson!

I just checked... WTQR-FM is STILL playing the SAME boring cookie-cutter NON-Country Pop crap that they always play!! Even song really sounds the same and really sucks... If ya want REAL Country Music in the Piedmont... swith the dial to 98.1 WBRF-FM out of Galax, VA. The 100,000 watt blow touch blasts out tons of REAL COUNTRY music!!!
 
Flipping to Spanish actually a rumor????

Why not just leave TQR, flip Rush back to Spanish, give Rush/Hannity to WSJS where they still do local news. Unlike Flush Radio. Just call it a wash.
 
As for the thought of Rush and Hannity going back to SJS - I seriously doubt it. Both shows are very much about ratings and once you pull audience from AM to FM, it is next to impossible to get them back.

When I first went to WSJS, it was local and live from 5:30AM to 8PM (with the exception of Rush's three mid-day hours). Not only were the rating good, we didn't have to give up ANY commercial avails to syndicated programs. And Rush charged an arm and a leg in addition to the commercials.

Was always tough to do much after 7PM because of college basketball, Hornets, etc. Too many interruptions to build a following.

Didn't anyone play Blondie's "Rapture"?

By the way, Harold Camping was right. shortly after the time of the Rapture, Jesus crossed the finish line at Pimlico aboard Shackleford. So He DID come at the scheduled time. But Camping was wrong about this event changing anything. Also about WHICH Jesus.
