WTQR's New Morning Show

According to a source on the South Carolina Page that Tige and Daniel from WGTR Gator 107.9 will be the new morning show on WTQR. What is going to happen with Angie? stay on the show with those two or just stay on as PD?

Probably Angie will do mid-days (her old shift), actually she's the Music Director (I think) but Bruce Logan is the PD.
 
I think Bruce is the OM and she is the PD but I am not 100% sure on that
 
Just stopped by to clear up some information and inject the actual facts into this conversation.

Tige & Daniel are the new morning show on WTQR. Expect them to start sometime the week of 3\19. Yes, live & local (& damn good BTW).

Angie Ward has been back on middays since The New Q launched in August. She is also the music director.

David Dean is the newly hired afternoon talent and assistant program director.

I am the program Driector.

Jeff Cushman is the Operations Manager, while being the program director for WMAG.

If you fine Radio-Info posters are going to talk badly (or the occassional positive post) it would be good for all if you actually knew who was where...doing which job.
 
Maybe I missed some sort of subtle nuance, but I don't see anyone talking badly or negatively about your hire or lineup in this thread at all, Bruce....only a couple of incorrect pieces of information. Good luck to you and your new crew.

Yeah, Bruce! Way to get your panties in a wad over NOTHING! Now, which of the geniuses in which position (which the idiots at radio-info can't gett right) flushed those heritage calls down the crapper and went with the "oh-so-fantastic" Q? Hmmmm?
 
I'm actually familiar with Tige and Daniel and they are REALLY good. They've brought some great ratings to WGTR and I'm sure they'll be sorely missed. I'm surprised that CC will pay for a real live morning team. Will they actually be moving here? From what Bruce said, sounds like they will. This could be great for WTQR IF CC will spend the money to market them.
 
Lets give Bruce a big round of applause for flipping out over nothing :D. sorry that we were wrong about who is who within your crew but I will make sure that next time I say anything about you guys, I will have correct.
 
Welcome Bruce. You have to walk on eggshells on these boards, or you get called out. It's a shame when somebody actually in the business, with the facts, gets an earful for posting the facts.

Looks like 'TQR is making a nice comeback in the ratings, and they're putting local talent on the air. Nice.

Still, Bruce, best of luck. You should do well...especially with your new morning show.

Interesting that Bruce only comments when facts about staff positions are incorrect, which must mean that Bruce agrees that a once great and respected country station (One Oh Four - Double U Tee Cue Are) is now a shell of its former self. Don't forget that this great company flushed another great heritage station several years back - WFMX.

:eek: In My opinion Clear Channel has not done one thing right in any market since they aquired all the stations.. It makes me think the "Suits" are using them to clean money or lose it on purpose!!!
 
Ape is a man of few words but they speak loudly! CC does not care about Greensboro or Raleigh pass the bucks. At one time WMAG and WTQR ruled the revenue stream and now they are mere players in the park. CC allowed The Wolf and Entercom to kick their butts and beat them severly about the head and body. They have a manager who is more interested in "happy hour" than being out in the street meeting clients and influencing people and at the present they have very little air staff. What cha think Ape?

Thank you and I think you are absolutely right! Been around too long and saw too much of this happening! Pitiful is all I can say!
