WTRW question.

Just a quick question for anyone involved with WTRW. Was listening to them in the car today for a short while, and Scott Shannon comes on with voice over between songs.... " You are listening to the all new fun loving 15Q". Did TRW switch calls??? Checked with radio-locator but they still have them listed as WTRW. Are they off the bird with the true oldies channel 24/7 ??? Just curious... thanks.
P.S. Can't resist this... if WSSP went "true oldies' they would be 2.something in 1 book.... had to say that still miss WEMP...

Love the jingles. Somewhere around the house I have a cassette with John Gardner's and Mike Clement's signoff that aired on the last day of oldies broadcast. They flipped over to religious programming at noon. Lots of fans showed up at the station to see them off and were disappointed to find out that the whole thing was prerecorded. Last song played was American Pie. John's final comment was "... this will asolutely be the last oldies song ever played on WEMP." Sure do miss it too.

Thanks for the info. Was it on a Monday? I remember the last time I heard WEMP as an oldies outlet was on a Sunday morning. Their Elvis show was on and the DJ said "This will be our last show"<P ID="signature">______________

We're planning to change call letters in the near future. It's likely the station will have a "Q" in the new calls. We're still known as 'fun lovin' 15-Q by the locals'.
