Both WTRY and WBZZ went all Christmas too early. But in WTRY's case it was an improvement. WTRY has such a redundant playlist even for an oldies station, that every time you tune into their regular format you hear a song you've heard so adnauseum, that you got to turn them off. There are a wealth of songs they could play but won't play being under the thumb of Big Daddy Clear Channel and their darn consultants.
As far as WBZZ, I believe they wanted to dump their failed format as soon as possible and get people listening so when the holidays are over they can grab them for their new sound.
Of the two stations, WBZZ has the better signal and the better mix, I believe.
