What's up with South 107. They cancelled their CP and have a TA new APP. The new one is located closer to Atlanta but a lot lower tower.
 
I would be interested to know...

Would be a perfect dial to try classic hits/oldies format or active rock (if Rock 100.5 doesn't get it's act together).

I would be interested to know what the deal is.
 
The gave back some of the coverage that the old CP had vs the new application. The new app signal does not penetrate Atlanta as well as the one they had a CP for.
 
They will have worse coverage in Rome with the new tower location because of the ridges in and around Rome. I just don't see the point in changing sites. Maybe they will get this approved and then try to increase tower height with another application.
 
And what is the deal with the translator they bought on their same frequency here in ATL (there was a previous thread about that here on the boards)? Could this change have anything to do with that?

I thought the CP was for the same location just more HAAT.
 
Current site is in Bartow county and the new application site is in Polk county.

Actually, it looks like the new app site is not too far from the original tower in Rockmart back when it was WZOT. The tower is now used by what was the AM sister station and now has the call WZOT (the AM was WPLK back in the day).
