WTSP, Channel 10, signed on as WLCY-TV in July, 1965.
While Channels 8 and 13 touted their 50th birthdays with special reports, I don't recall Channel 10 making any sort of deal about turning 40. No retrospectives on Marshall Cleaver (no relation to the Beaver), the young Dick Crippen, not even a fond mention of Sonny Daye! Most of those names have local radio ties as well IIRC.
WLCY radio was housed in the channel 10 building during much of the 60s and 70s, in the southwest corner, I believe. It was only a few years ago that WTSP's microwave gear moved off the 1380 main tower onto a separate stick built to a non-resonant height (and detuned as well, I'm sure).
