WTTE 28.2 Cool TV gone

As of Friday 8/31/12 WTTE 28.2 went dark. All Sinclair stations dropped Cool TV, the music video sub-channel. No reason was given.

The Cool TV went from 45 affiliates to now only having 16 affiliates. I wonder if they'll end up going off the air totally as a result of this cause most of their affiliates were sinclair stations.

Although it was a decent offering and on occasion I did see some classic music videos I haven't seen since The MTV days, I didn't watch too much. I am hoping that they will follow in WCMH's footsteps and change this channel to a classic TV channel. WCMH has ME TV which offers true classic TV programming, However there are other "classic" TV channels available such as Antenna TV, RTV and a few others. I have asked all of the local channels to at least consider the classic TV option for one of their digital sub-carrier channel(s)

Since I live in Columbus, I have never had the chance to actually watch Antenna TV. I do however have many friends in other city's that do get Antenna TV and have nothing but great things to say about it. I would love to know what WCMH's numbers are since carrying ME TV! I know that in Cincinnati, Ohio ME TV was beating out Bill Cunningham's new talk show.
Maybe someone could post that info, I would like to see if ME TV has increased their ratings!

Me-TV has a much higher-quality selection of classics than ATV -- not that there isn't anything worth watching on the latter. In Chicago, where both Me-TV and ATV originate (and where I visit relatives at least a few times as year), Me-TV is complemented with Me-Too. Me-Too shows additional episodes of some of Me-TV's shows (though on a different schedule), plus some shows that aren't on Me-TV at all, or are being "rested." I wonder if they'll also turn Me-Too into a network?

Maybe they both couldn't agree to a new contract?
