You don't take a Triple AAA station and call it Power anything. You don't run "Hot Imaging" on a Triple A either. If they wanted it to sound like a flippin' CHR, it would be a bloody CHR. You call a station Power if it's CHR, typically speaking, or Rhythmic CHR, or whatever. BLAH!! Not an AAA station. Do you even know what CHR stands for? CHR stations are very mainstream top forty that play Justin Bieber, Kesha, Katy Perry, blah, blah, blah. Go look at a Billboard chart. Most spin a total of about 250 songs, and A's spin about 80-90 a week, depending on market, and clocks, etc. Anyway, there is nothing CHR about WTTS. Maybe, just maybe there could be some crossover artists, i.e John Mayer, but that does not make it CHR. There is crossover of songs and artist in all formats. Some stations calling themselves oldies will play John Mellencamp, some stations that call themselves Classic Rock will play Eight Days a week from the Beatles, but that doesn't make them oldies, and on and on and on. Again, you are not in the business, and don't understand it. And for God's sake, if they are running some true "flavor" with the music, then by all means let them do it. I bet you million bucks, that if you went a looked at a AAA spin list, you wouldn't know 90% of it. So to you, it's not "more hit based", because you don't know what you're talking about or the format.
Now that I've used "CHR" 88 times in this reply, I must go.
