WTUB 700 -Athol

I highly doubt there is a separate stream for WTUB or WFNX. What came up for WTUB on tunein was probably just the regular WXRV stream. The local legal IDs for 99.9 and 105.7 WLKC were always inserted locally on just those stations. I suspect the case is the same with 700, maybe along with 99.9.

You're right...the 99.9 stream IDs the same way. But it was the AM that I checked the other night, still streaming at 11 PM. I know they can't broadcast after sunset but are they allowed to stream anytime?

Yes, they are. I withdraw my objection; what was I thinking? It'd be nice if they started inserting an ID on the air, though -- 'FNX does.

Oh! And these interlopers from Haverhill probably don't care, but out here in the boonies the "REAL" River is 93.9 WRSI from Turners Falls, which is independent from "Independent Radio." (Saga owns it.)

P.S:
This morning at about 8:00 EDT, WXRV's full-powered "translators" injected a JOINT ID, ending WTUB's anonymity.
"WFNX Athol-Orange-Keene and WTUB Orange-Athol."
One less thing to complain about. But I'd like to see some reception reports from Keene! ;-p

There is no "skywave" on the internet, so there's no restriction on whether a station can stream at night. There are some other daytime-only AM radio stations that continue to stream their programming at night. Internet reception is the same day and night, so they don't have to sign off of the internet to protect any other streaming stations after sunset.

One could imagine (though he is resistant) a webstream of Bob B's WJIB (and WJTO)...technically neither is a daytimer but they have to each switch to a microscopic signal after dark. A webstream of either or both stations would help (and as it is Bittner is, or soon will,
simulcasting the latter station on an FM in Freeport). Agreed, some daytimers do continue to stream at night--or maybe they too
found a small FM to simulcast on.

I think WJTO used to be a daytimer...with WIGY 106.9 (or was it 106.1?) full time, and one time I remember picking up
WJTO in Nahant and they had a sign-off cart which explained they had to leave the air but the same music could be picked up
after that on WIGY (followed by a jingle, "the best music...Y-106!" or something)

With call letters like WTUB it's ironic they don't have a COL of Bath, Maine :) The BathTUB!
