WTVN News on the Weekends

Has anybody noticed that WTVN doesn't use any production elements on the weekends? No traffic or weather sounders, or music beds. Just one prerecorded voice file after another. Sounds ametuerish.

I thought all this stuff could be preprogrammed into the computer so all the music hits at the right time. How hard is it to make sure this gets done? Is there nobody left who cares or do they not want to pay royalties?
 
Yes there are still people who care! You would need to speak with the P.D. to find out specifically why certain elements are not used at certain times and why they are used at other times..
