Heard Amie talk about something other than herself...that now TVY are going live overnights? So is this a live person or some VT from PCB? How can that happen when they don't have the budget to keep a receptionist or a GM?

Can someone enlighten us...
 
His name, I think, is Brad(?). Seems like a nice young fellow. Think he was a pt board op there. Position must pay well to have to eliminate the recp and gm to do it.

Before I get reemed for defending, NO, I do not know any of the "TVY" staff. I am curious about something. Are the complainers on this board just Monday thru Friday, 8 to 5, complainers? Thanks to this board for making the staff sound so interesting, I have started listening to them when I am close to your fair city which is mostly during the weekends. I have heard the Brad guy on WTVY on the weekends every now and then. As far as the overnights, I think it is a great idea no matter who thought of it first. I listen to many radio stations all over the US of A and almost every radio station if they talk, they are saying something about themselves or their families even your WOOF Gang so, I do not think your target, Miss Pollard, is any different from anyone else in this business. Sounds like if there are complaints about her and her radio station then they must be doing something right.
 
Haven't you boys heard of the new "localism" proposals from the FCC? They would require that all stations are manned 24/7 and would seek to limit voice tracking. Looks like to me that WOOF and WTVY are just covering their butts.
 
The wood walls should go well with the 42 inch plasma tv, and the chandelier. Every studio needs them. ;D

I was not using Ms. Pollard, as a target, even those she is a easy one to use. I understand many Personalities talk about their lives and families on the air. But Ms. Pollard speaks only about herself and for her own self promoting feeding her own ego. Now I have used her as a target ;)

You my MEAN friend, must have never been to the Woods Skyscraper or work for the Tragic of Magic. Because if you have then you would know that Magic would NOT be the first to jump on some FCC propsal. There are several FCC Rules and Regulations that are not quite right over there. So I doubt they would fix a propsal before fixing what is broken. Hold on, the saying goes..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it" so translate to the Book Of Magic Chapter 1 Versus 2 "If it ain't broke lets break it and see if can try to put it back together."

Better turn the Gating up on the Mic Processors...reads like an acoustic nightmare to me.

Shhhh don't tell Miss Pollard that . You know that she is a professional engineer that knows how to design,bulid and trade out studios.

Please tell me that the same concern for the other 4 studios on the 8th floor has been shown. If not then there must be a new word, Iteam work.
 
Of course not...Amie only sits in WTVY's. Maybe she'll actually learn how to use the board now in her new studios.

WTVY's over night guy is there part time board op Blake, great guy. And, trust in the fact that Magic no where nears pays part-time enough, thats probally why he's doing over nights.
 
You know the whole thing about this web site is point less..Sounds like a bunch of people that never grew up. Some people are just mad at Amie, or just jelous because you can or never will be able to ocomplish what she has.. Personaly I like her off the air..On the air there are times were i don't... But everyone has there opinion.. And as far as Blake goes that works the overnights, that has been in the works for months, the hold up is that he is goin back to school, and it was his idea to do overnights and it is 100% live no v/t like across town..But whatever .............................
 
:eek: The Deal is that the Queen has and always will follow in others foot steps. The 24/7 thing only came about when woofie said lets do real radio again....ON ANOTHER NOTE as stewy has remarked before in numorous threads that ship is sinking and the STORy is trying to save it by DEMOTING the QUEEN and bringing in all the CORPORATE CC geeks he can....hate it for the good guys (RR)
