WTVY-FM/WDJR-FM

Radio Insight reports that WTVY-FM and WDJR-FM Following the purchase of 95.5 WTVY-FM Dothan, AL by Gulf South Communications, the station is temporarily simulcasting new sister 96.9 WDJR before going All-Christmas on December 5 leading into a new format.

What would the new 95.5 would be after X-Mas???

According to the announcement on-air, 95.5 stays country with most of the WDJR staff moving there. WDJR will get the new format.

So any ideas of 96.9 WDJR will be after x-mas music flip? Maybe a Sports FM station like ESPN Radio. I dont know if u guys in Dothan are ESPN Radio fans I know AM-560 The Ball is Sporting News Radio

Im looking at Dothan Ala Radio List all the other stations are about the same music with 2 diffents stations.

I remeber Dothan used to have an ESPN Radio on 103.9 FM but it was a short term as they flip it to
Rock 104...

Any other guess for 96.9 to make the flip after the hoildays?

And 560 is also on the 100.1 translator, I believe. Going ESPN on a full power FM would certainly put the hurt on them.

I think they are going to try to put the hurt on WOOF.

Not so sure about putting a hurt on them. Been tried twice on two different C3 signals and didn't make a dent.
A full power FM signal might make some difference though.
A moot point as 96.9 will go A/C Jan 1

Be hard to bet against K.W. and Wendy. Maybe WOOF will go to $40,000 per book.

Would be great to hear 96.9 go back to being the great rocker it once was.. but with that signal it's gotta be AC. It would be very cool for the Wiregrass to get a 100kw Classic or AOR out of this mess in the end though. Go heavy on the Skynard, it'll work.

Whatcha wanna bet darkman? KW & Wendy will be good but John and Amy are very well entrenched. Holladay is only one stick away from absolute market domination but I don't expect the Simpson's to roll over by any stretch of the imagination. All four mentioned above have been at woof previously or obviously now. It should be quite a contest. I wonder if John and Wendy will be racing and swapping paint on their way to work in the mornings.

A/C with K.W. & Wendy in the morning

As of this afternoon (2:31 Monday), WDJR.com makes mention of something called 'Mix 96.9'.

The WTVY-FM streaming is unavailable from thier website. The Big Dog 96.9 streaming is working but the station saying 95.5 WTVY-FM.

There is no website of the new 96.9 yet to listren to 96.9 with x-mas music is only to hear it on your radio 96.9 FM. I heared it alittle and they are playing x-mas music. Its seem that WDJR-FM is not as powerfull as before near the Tallahassee area. They still 100,000 watts station. I know WTVY and WDJR sometimes with thier singal that reach part of Tallahassee and point west.

Once again WDJR 96.9 FM is all x-mas music on the FM dail. Some of you guys saying a AC station for the flip good chioce. How about a Jack-FM? or Sports as ESPN Radio. I know most ESPN stations goes with 6,000 watts.
