Does anyone have recordings of this station when it used to have wether (and news??) with WBMW 106'5s Theresea Berry?

By the way, if Channel 3 was never allowed to move to Hartford, we'd be watching WHPX Channel 3. As im sure most of you know, Channel 3 was originally allotted for New London but the owners petitioned the FCC to move it and they won. Thats how Channel 26 ended up in New London.

That was only a proposal. According to W9WI's 1952 allocation list, Hartford got and kept Channel 3 post-freeze. In 1947, Hartford got Channels 8 & 10, while New Haven got 6. Springfield, MA was originally assigned Channel 3.
