From TVSpy via Newsblues:

Nick Smith, who joined Philadelphia Fox O&O WTXF-29 two years ago as an early morning anchor-reporter, was escorted from the building Friday after he was unable to come to terms on a contract extension, according to a tipster, who notes that Smith's bio has mysteriously disappeared from the WTXF website.

Boy that's a shame because I thought he was really good on that show. He had and added a lot of energy on that show.

I'm not going to miss Nick Smith, he looked as if he was trying too hard, his "energy" didn't seem genuine. He's the reporter that replaced Janet Zappala when she disappeared without a word back in Dec '04, I loved her!

Nick was a photographer at WPRI in Providence, RI before going to North Carolina (I think that's where he went) to start his on-air reporting career.

Wasn't there some sort of incident with Smith and 10's Aditi Roy?
