WTXX to air classic holiday episodes

I was browsing the TV Listings on my DVR and found that WTXX in Hartford/New Haven will be airing holiday episodes of classic TV shows from the 50s through the 80s. This is really impressive. The holiday episodes will air on two ocassions, on Saturday 12/20 and on Christmas Day 12/25. I'm not sure if this is a package deal, as KWGN also has some episodes airing on Christmas Day. It could be a Tribune deal.

Here is the line-up of shows on WTXX for both days according to my DVR:

Saturday 12/20:

This is awesome! I feel I might be glued to the TV. I have never seen something like this on a local station before (granted I'm only 19). I'll try to get exact episodes and post them. I don't have the time at this point. Just thought I'd post this. Let me know if your local market has a similar package of shows!
 
wow ,thanks for the heads up.the old nick at night use to run xmas shows like these.last night I watched the classic I love Lucy xmas show I've downloaded from youtube.
 
Nice job, TXX! A pity WTXX cannot air classic TV reruns as a part of their schedule. I mean what TXX has on is 5,000 TIMES BETTER than TV Land!
 
I particularly enjoyed seeing the "Petticoat Junction" episode from 1966. It took me back to the days the show was on TVLand. Also, because of this marathon on WTXX, I've acquired a liking to other shows that I've heard of but never watched like "Laverne and Shirley" and "The Odd Couple". The 1962 episode of "The Lucy Show" on Saturday was also a rare treat.

I strongly believe TXX should add classics to their line-up, at least in the mornings. WTXX has no substance, or anything to set it apart from the other locals. It's just a stepchild to FOX61. This would give the station new life.
