WTZA 1010 call sign change

But very funny Reference because now I Remember because it was a progressive talk station when I started listening to it which was around 2011-2012

Why is their signal so bad still during the day?
As I recall when the investor picked them up for the short-lived conservative talk station, they didn't do their due diligence; the previous owner had added cell antennas to the tower and also had messed up the grounding system. Apparently the plant was a complete mess at that point.

Back in the WGUN days it was probably the second or third-best sounding AM in the city, at least when they were running at 50kW day or 45kW critical hours. That previous owner did make the improvement of getting the FCC to let them move from 10kW to 45kW during critical hours.
