WTZB Sarasota flips to Classic Rock Z105

With the addition of a Bradenton translator at 105.1 (fed by WCTQ 106.5 HD3), former iHeartRadio Active/Mainstream Rock The Buzz 105.9 flipped to Classic Rock and rebranded as Z105 ("Suncoast Classic Rock") at 12pm on February 1st.

Thanks for the heads up, is the translator on the air yet? If so, I will try for it this weekend on a trip between Saint Petersburg and Naples...especially on I-75 near and south of the Ellenton exit.

I saw the CP and 60DB contour map on the FCC FM query site; did not see anything mentioning it on radio-locator website.

It's on the air, as I was able to get a weak signal on 105.1 here just north of St. Pete (on a GE Superadio II). If you have HD radio capability, WCTQ 106.5 HD3 is an easier catch. 105.9 is pretty well obscured by the Tampa 105.9 "Thunder Across The Bay" translator where I am.

Thanks for the link, Obtuse. They are on the air and I first thought to try as I was on I-175 by Tropicana Field ,
Saturday morning and they were booming in from the location until I got to until about halfway between the University Parkway exit and the Fruitville Rd exit and then faded quickly. Good sound quality and volume........ So for people in extreme south Pinellas the 105.1 translator is another OTA listening option.
