I predict the format will be AC, the callsign WLTM, and the name "94.9 Lite FM".

WGST even beat them. Their two Spanish stations beat them. 94.9 went from the top of the cluster (top 5 in the market) to the bottom in a little over one year.

Of course, I don't think the effects of the WYAY flip have been felt...but they will not have a positive effect on the Bull. All 94.9 has turned into is a bunch of bulls***.

Talk about awkward for the CC group. Not only the performance in ATL but isn't Chuck their head Country guy for the format nationwide? ???

chuck is just another cc suit, never won a battle, does not know talk, never been in rock, can't speak spanish, has no say over country just a title, takes orders from texas, can't coach or recruit talent,those inside cc think atl management is a joke, he will go after cc goes private.
 
Yeah, what was up with switching 94.9 Lite fm to some useless WUBL in 2006? Wow, talk about the 94.9 madness. Someone who must have supported 94.9 Lite fm must have sent maledictions to CC and their station when they switched to country. Now, the truth is clear. WUBL is performing worse than 94.9 Lite fm.

If they are deciding to change, it suits them better to put an AC station. How about bringing back Peach 94.9 as most respondents on this post have stated. However, it will be up to the CC regional managers in Atlanta to make the decision. Of course, it wouldn't be surprising if they go back to their old, pathetic, and useless ways and keep WUBL alive with their <2.3 ratings.
 
peach would work, local, john wetherbee, sandy weaver would work again,cc does not do local well, local talent, local promotion, this town loved peach back in the day, bringing peach back would have the town talking
 
According to the latest arbitron ratings, WUBL has a rating of 1.6, second to lowest CC station rating if you count 96.7 The Legend. More evidence why the switch to country on 94.9 was a stupid, unthinkable, and merciless idea. Wonderful, wonderful job of messing up Atlanta radio, Clear Channel. There's really no reason to cry over spilled milk because WUBL is doing pathetically. I would quickly find reasons to switch WUBL to another music genre.

They could probably beat the Bull share with the old Beautiful Music version of "WPCH Peach FM 95", let alone AC.
 
Just wondering...has CC EVER said "oops" we made a mistake and bring back a popular format to a heritage signal? Much like what happened to WCBS-FM 101.1 in New York? Resurrecting Peach 94.9 would be awesome and I don't even live in Atlanta!

They discussed it once, but Bloomquist said something like "I find your lack of faith disturbing" and started choking the guy, and then it got weird.

You can put the best program director in the world to work for one of those frequencies and it just wouldn't matter.

Bring back Lite 94.9. Putting WGST on an FM frequency makes a lot of sense, too. BUT that might force them to make a decision to put some effort into it, er. They could beat WSB-AM and go FM....oh wait...WGST was ALREADY on FM? And they were at about a 4.0 share 12+? Huh.

When you tally up the heritage of the call letters that CC has managed to trash (WKLS, WPCH and WGST), that adds up to about 110+ years, right?

Wetherbee, Sandy, Randy and Spiff...Goss...c'mon...how could THAT suck?
 
Not sure I understand why the Bull is having such a hard time. I've listened to it and thoroughly enjoy the station. I find it hard to believe that Big D and Bubba pulled in more numbers than Cledus, who I also enjoy.
Why is it that Kicks can have a fire sale and still knock the crap out of the Bull? Is it marketing, or is it that Kicks is so well known in the market?
 
Kicks is well known plus they bring Dallas over so it gave a reason for Eagle listeners to go there first. The bull should be ashamed of itself.
 
bull has spent over 2 millon last year in marketing, another millon this year on tv
it's not marketing, the bull is a bad sounding station, kicks has better management,talent, heritage, and understands what country people want to hear

You're right!

The powers set out to program the "Bull" to be low-key. From the music, imaging, and jocks, they didn't want ANYTHING to stand out or to be in your face. They had meetings, did research, etc... all for the ultimate goal of being BORING. It worked. Congratulations! No one cares about your station.

Isn't Country supposed to be boot-scootin, a** kickin, beer drinkin fun???
