As FOX prepares move back to WDBD CH 40, WUFX 35 will take on MY Network TV moniker. On Monday July 3, WDBD 40 will drop WB to return back to "where it all started" with FOX network. On that date, WUFX 35, which has currently held down FOX programming since September 2003, will take on WDBD 40's remains WB network programming under the brand "My 35" which apparently it has adopted this week. WUFX 35 and WDBD 40's daily scheduled programming will switch places, 35's programming to 40, 40's programming to 35. WRBJ will be the Jackson affiliate for WB and UPN combined The CW Television Network. WDBD 40 dropped FOX programming on October 7, 2001 in favor of WB programming after a battle between then parent company Pegasus Communications and FOX network. Pegasus no longer owns the cluster of stations here, WDBD FOX 40, WUFX My 35, WXMS/WBMS 27/10 (by the way, to deconfirm the rumor, WXMS is not silent/dark).

It's because the FCC information on WXMS 27 indicates that it is "OFF AIR". You can't find WXMS returned for results when doing a TV Query for Jackson stations on the FCC site. It could be that Jackson Televison, LLC is gearing up to deactivate channel 27 but has not done so yet. They may simply use WBMS 10 by itself.

This station was never fully licensed and has been operating on Special Temporary Authority the entire time it's been on air in Jackson.

I don't know how the reception is in most areas but I can pick up 27 a lot better than 10. I can pick up 10 if I move the antenna but it is sometimes has interference for other stations. I assume its El Dorado, Arkansas. 27 doesn't have that problem. 27 is fairly clear with an outdoor antenna but can still be picked up a little with the rabbit ears.
