WUSA 9 Washington DC must make AD-time for Anti Abortion Candidate

Interesting how the media framed the issue. I don't think this had anything to do with abortion at all, especially as those so-called "contours" haven't really been true in practice with DTV.

It might be appropriate that Terry gets to buy his ad time based wiggle-room rule usage: Randall Terry's 'candidacy' during this cycle has existed mostly as a state-by-state primary challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination.

He's got money and time to waste, apparently.

TV stations seem to use the FCC contours for their own advantage quite frequently. Now the tables are turned.

Only regret is no 2" cart machines in poorly maintained order to eat this crappy political ad and no ability to charge him 250x more for said spot.

I truly feel sorry for Washington DC TV stations, they seem to have to contend with some of the weirdest DMA in the US (partially traditionally southern, 1 culturally atypical urban core, and mostly New South urbanized).

Washington DC: a combination of Southern efficiency and Northern charm.

The question now is where did WUSA plug in the ad; during early or prime time and wait for the angry calls to come in, or did they just air it during Up to the Minute or EP Daily at 3am when few watch and call it a day?
