WUSJ AM Crew scrambles again

Well, I see that Jason didn't stay too long with WUSJ. Gotta wonder why... Ratings? Management? Compensation? All three?

And then this morning, Wendy is back and from what I heard...she's back for good. Not too surprised really...Newsouth has always gone back to the well of past talent to plug up it's holes. So, yippee....more of the same old domestic he-said-she-said gobble-di-goop banter for country radio. They should just hire Jerry Springer and get it over with.

WMSI couldn't be happier about this I'm sure.

Isn't this the same Jason (as in Konarz) that started that illegal commotion at one of the Clarksdale stations or was it another Jason you know?

I couldn't agree more. Nothing personal- they sound like nice folks - but there is no way that the staff as presently constituted will ever be able take home plate from Miss 103. There is a difference between what works in Meridian and Jackson. It's a step up believe it or not and the Holliday's are going to have hire a good manager who can recruit and maintain some talent. Say what you will about Clear Channel's management and sales ethics- when it comes to on-air people they do have some fairly good jocks with great voices,(Yes that still matters!) even if they do tend to like hearing themselves talk a bit much.
So we've got a literal "Mom & Pop" morning show with Middle Alabama accents and homespun anecdotes and a side of country music to go with your ham and grits every morning. Please hold the line there....if I hear a swap-shop or Obituaries on USJ I will personally round up homeless people and come inspect their public files twice a week for a year. (It is in order and up-to-date I presume- one never knows.)
Take a tip from WMSI- It's not "Country" it's "Country-politan". Music for city boys who own 4 wheel drives and work in an office somewhere and the women they love. Talk to those people. There, that's 2 ratings points free and clear-just 3-4 more and it's a race!

I think Wendy sounds great! It's good she has returned to WUSJ...

my only problem is that it sounded too much like a man hating show. Usually Wendy and some female callers calling up and bashing Jason and all men for not "helping them around the house" or "leaving the toilet seat up" and other nonesense. If they are trying run off all the male listeners, its a turn in the right direction. I wish some of these morning hosts would "grow a pair" I'll just stick with John Boy.
