WUVN-18 elects must-carry status on So. CT cable

WUVN-18 has elected to be carried on cable 18 on Comcast-Branford's seven-town franchise in suburban New Haven (Madison to Wallingford) under the FCC's "Must-Carry Status", acccording to a member of the cable advisory council. A cable company must give the DPUC a 30-day notice before making the change.

WUVN is on cable 18 in Hartford, Meriden, New Haven and most other area communities.

I wonder if this means WUVN is going to expand local, state-wide programming.
