WUVN - Univision

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that suddenly I was getting regular reception of WUVN channel 18 here in Poughkeepsie, NY, just like the other Hartford DTV's... except WTIC-61 which I don't usually get here probably because of New York City on the same channel. Prior to this, WUVN used to be right on the edge.... coming in for a few seconds, then freezing and going blank. I would be lucky to get a minute of picture/audio in a five minute period. Now it is usually a solid signal. I don't see anything in the FCC database that would suggest a power increase or other signal improvement for WUVN. Anyone else notice any change?

By the way, I notice that WUVN's main ID slide says "UNIVISION 46", and not "18". This is highly unusual. Anyone know why they ID this way? Most stations seem to keep their DTV channel a secret, over the air and even on their websites.

Also, what is "WHTX", which appears on subchannel 18.2. The ID slide says "UNIVISION 43", but I can find NO record of a WHTX in the FCC database, either on channel 43 or any other channel. It identifies as Springfield - Holyoke, but the only channel 43 in Massachusetts is in Boston. WHTX seems to pretty much duplicate WUVN 18.1.

WHTX-LP is a LPTV that used to be licensed to Hartford but moved to Springfield under a STA on channel 43.
However the last filing for extension of the STA was dismissed after Mereidith filed an objection to it.
With the FCC not allowing a construction permit for WHTX-LP to move to Springfield, WHTX-LP's license was cancelled.

So WHTX-LP no longer is licensed and shows up as DWHTX-LP under the FCC.

Maybe because now that all the leaves have fallen off the trees the digital signal can travel farther unobstructed.
