WVAM and WRTA Questions.

Long ago, long ago in the days of John Kozza, Stan Potopa etc there was a guy on WVAM who went by the name of "Weird Beard". Anybody remember him?

A little longer than that over at WRTA there was a guy who went by the name of Jim Daly. An enormous talent. Anybody know what happened to him?

How about Bob Abernethy who was GM at WVAM in the revolving door days of Bixler? Is he still around?

I believe Bob Abernethy is still the sales manager for Forevers station in Huntingdon (WHUN??). As far as the others, never heard of either.

Jim Daly left WRTA in 1969 and went to Johnstown...one of the middle of the road stations. Wierd Beard was Tom Minnick or Minnic and last I heard, he was in Johnstown driving a bus.

I remember a guy named Tom Minnick who went by the name "Thaddeus Beard" in the late 70's & early 80's...He was the in house dj at Joey Del's Lounge in Johnstown for awhile, then he started his own production company doing spots for a company called Minit Print and for a stereo store in Richland....Is he the same guy you're talking about?

That's the dude and he used to drive a VW bus with cartoon characters all over it. (and sometimes inside it also)...hardy, har, har, har
