What can y'all tell me about this station? Not much shows up when ya google it.What's the format? How's the audio sound? Is the signal good?

Do they have any LOCAL jocks there? Notice I didn't say live, maybe voicetracked? Is there anyway you can aircheck it for me via casette or CD/Mp3?It's NICE to be back on the boards, out and in public.......

station is oldies sat delivered.great processing.i picked it up almost 40 miles away and all over parts of jackson.

If I'm not mistaken, WQBC dropped most of their talk programming and went with a Christian / Gospel format. WVBG may fill a niche in the market with talk programming, if they get a good lineup.RFB

WVBG-AM is still in the same familiar with WVBG-FM and WRTM-FM, owned by the Jones'... lol, no kidding ...

Carl Haynes still owns WRTM-FM. Mark Jones bought WRTM-AM from Carl and changed the calls to match WVBG-FM. That's what I understood anyway.RFB(happy to be posting under his old username again!)

As i read the FCC data, WRTm is in the Jones family...

Not sure where you're seeing this. I double-checked the FCC website and WRTM-FM is still owned by Carl Haynes. Mark Jones did buy WRTM-AM (now WVBG-AM), but I haven't seen anything to indicate that WRTM-FM has been sold.RFB

jones just bought the A>M> not the FM, it is being upgraded to c2 status.
