WVBZ Better Than WBBB?

Is The New Sounding Buzzard better than 96Rock, or is it the other way around. Im slowly turning away from 96Rock because how the Buzzard sounds now! Are The Buzzard and 96Rock competing, because the Buzzards signal gets into the triangle and 96Rock gets into the triad? I hope that the Buzzard starts adding the new rock that comes out from now on! They still play ALOT of classic rock. Are they going to be cutting back on the classic rock anytime soon? Because i would really like to hear some good new rock. 96Rock's idea of new rock is 90's alternative. I think everyone that wants to hear just straight new rock on WBBB should e-mail them and maybe with enough emails they will do it, because ive tried. Heres the Program Directors email: [email protected]

NO SALE! Buzzard is bad. 96 Rock is better all the way around. John Boy and Billy are terrible and the Buzzard can't even beat the dreadful Rock 92 in their own market!

Over the years 96ROCK has had a weak talent (Chopper, etc) and a tendency to be all over the rock road. But over the last six months I have noticed them being more consistent, and their on air talent is to my ear the best in the state (for that format). WVBZ is very mediocre to me.

best in the state? really? I mean JB&B may be annoying, but at least they're not as boring as Salt & Dimitri. And I'd even rather here Crash ramble aimlessly than Foster and the Blade (zzzz)

Although The Buzzard could use more modern rock vs classic - 96 Rock is like a stale piece of bread. VBZ has lots of potential but will never reach it with the closed minds in charge up the ladder.

"Best in state" may be a stretch but last time I looked S&D were still on the air in Raleigh and JB&B had been thrown off the air for a third consecutive time. I take nothing away from what the were ten years ago, but any station built around JB&B just sounds old to me. The on air line up at 96.1 sound like they are having fun and work as a team. I don't hear that much these days...I don't hear live talent much on rock stations. So I hvae to give them props. I do think 96.1 is a good station.

I've forgotten which night it was, but I though maybe 96.1 The Beat had gone alternative. I remembered that 106.5 The End is co-owned, so maybe they moved there. No, I was picking up 96 Rock, as it turned out.

96Rock I noticed has added alot of new rock lately. I actually heard Disturbed-Inside The Fire on 96.1 a couple of nights ago. Plus they are doing pretty good in the ratings. 96Rock usaully never plays Disturbed so that suprised me. Over The past year or so, 96.1 has really turned it around from being a stale rockstation to being a pretty rockin one for this area.

The place where VBZ really shines is it's HD2 signal-Nitro. No old stale crappy rock there. Just new stuff, with a few 90's songs for the classic set. None of that stale burned out 70's-80's that the HD1 side plays. ;D
