WVCR Sucks

If WVCR is so determined to emulate commercial radio, why don't they try filling the AAA hole that has existed in this market since WXLE bit the dust, in 1998. That would seem like a far more appropriate niche for a college station anyway. 88.5-WXPN, Philadelphia, owned by the University of Pennsylvania, has successfully been doing such a format, for years with a paid and volunteer staff. In fact, former WEQX Program Director, Jim McGuinn handles their afternoon shift.
 
I believe AAA would be a valuable and wise niche for WVCR to fill. Much more unique and upscale.
 
Yes well if we do lose INTERNET RADIO we are gonna have to start begging WVCR to play 80s music AT THE RIGHT SPEED!

Maybe a compromise can be accomplished...

Maybe Do an 80s show from 6pm to midnight everyday (Or 80s on the weekend) and play those tracks CORRECTLY!

All good points... Well taken... And yes I do work for WVCR and we're getting unbelievable feedback on what we're doing now, so why change? Have any of you seen the last Arbitron? Check it out... Keep the feedback coming.
FYI... Only a handful of songs are pitched up... Not our entire 2000+ library. No one is playing the GREAT songs we are... Because they "didn't test well" who's playing Disco Duck, Convoy, or The Theme to WKRP... ETC, IN ROTATION :)

I dont care to hear music played AT THE WRONG SPEED! (And i know im not the only one) -- It sounds like crap!
