It’s that time of the year – the time when FM radio signals may start bouncing off the E-layer, and winding up in fun and unusual places. The first decent opening of the Summer Season was late yesterday afternoon, and I stumbled upon a listing for one I rarely see – WVIM.
Yes, that 3400-Watt Hernando blowtorch was heard in Ontario late yesterday. I suspect other, more robust Memphis stations were, too, but I only saw WVIM listed.
This stuff happens on and off for the next couple of months. Flip the dials periodically, if this interests you.
