WVJS Power Reduction

Dear TheOtherRadioRob,
Although I respect the opinion’s made (above) regarding the programming on WVJS, and even agree with some – I will state here how much I enjoy your afternoon show. I listen to it daily. Certainly I love the music (due to my age), but your show quite often reminds me of the ‘glory days of WVJS’ spoke of before – and that’s a good thing I believe. I remember those days well – as I listened to WVJS in 70’s. I even played a small part in trying to keep those glory days of radio going on WVJS’s sister station in the 80’s and 90’s. I applaud your efforts, and success at WVJS. Keep the faith sir – and the hope that radio can be more than it is – or was.
Sincerely,

Thank you for the kind words. I indeed remember working with you in tail end of the "glory days" and although I was only a part-time kid, I learned a lot from staff on both sides of the building. It was more than a paycheck back then. Even tasks like sitting in an office and entering song info on the playlists were things I was thankful to do, because it gave me experience beyond sitting behind the mic. Here it is some 23 years since I walked in the building and I still feel like I did the night I was trained when I fire up the afternoon show.
