WVKO domino effect continues....

Since WVKO went dark, the Clippers had to find a new radio home in WMNI. and now this...

Capital Enters Broadcast Agreement With WFCO 90.9FM
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)--Capital University and Gameday Management announce that Crusader football, men's and women's basketball games will be broadcast on the radio on WFCO 90.9FM in Lancaster/Columbus.

WFCO will broadcast all 10 football games, select basketball games, a one-hour preseason show, 30 minute pre-game shows before each event and all potential post-season events.

"We were extremely pleased with being able to provide live radio coverage of games a year ago and look to continuing forward with WFCO," commented Capital athletic director Roger Welsh. "Gameday Management has made radio a reality and we are thrilled to bring our local fans and alumni an opportunity to listen to our games."

Gameday Management is in its second year of an agreement to negotiate the broadcast rights and handle sports marketing services for the Capital athletic department.

"I am thrilled to help bring Capital sports to the radio," stated Gameday Management president Todd Oliver. "Capital has great teams and tradition which made it a natural to have its games broadcast on the air."

Veteran Columbus radio personality Randy Rhinehart is the "voice of the Crusaders" handling play-by-play duties. David Lewis, a 1970 Capital alum, with nearly 30 years of high and college football coaching experience will handle color commentator duties and Matt Waddell will be the sideline reporter for the football season.
