WVKV & WABY

Don't know why it's happening but both stations can get annoying with their unbalanced sound. Can't tell you how many times certain songs just LOSE half of the recording. For example, most Beatle songs are in that "split stereo", vocals one channel, instruments the other. Imagine how "Day Tripper" would sound without the great guitar intro....can't? you can here.
I know it's not my car radio since I hear this in numerous cars. Anyone else noticed this? As someone who likes music on both stations it is irritating.

Yes I've heard that before. I don't listen to WVKZ, but DO listen to WABY (during their Dial Global hours) and pray that the next great song isn't in "full stereo" where I KNOW I'll only hear a portion of the instrumentals. I noticed it this morning during James Taylor's cover of Wichita Lineman. It's odd because it's very selective. It's almost as if certain songs are recorded (or re-mixed) onto different channels... or it's the method in which they're being broadcast (from the source) and the station doesn't have the capability to re-broadcast it the same way. I'll tell ya it DOESN'T come over this way on other stations which run the same service. (WABY is unfortunately unique!) :-\
