A silmucast of WVLK-AM??? Where's the creative minds behind this waste of a good signal. There's still no decent rock outlet in the Lexington area. Arrow 101.5 was better than talk anyday of the week. I just don't get it I guess.

Don't forget about the simulcast of WVLK-AM also on 102.3 -- not sure why.

I enjoyed listening to Arrow 101.5 back in the day, wish they would bring it back.

The reason for the simulcast is two fold. First, very few under the age of 40 utilize AM radio so bringing the programming to FM allows the young whipper snappers to hear The Mighty 590. Second, the night time signal. WVLK has a crazy night pattern. The FM signal helps them in the south part of Lexington and Richmond where the night signal is weakest.

I'm surprised WLAP hasn't considered the same idea. They have a deep day and night null that gives them little signal in Woodford County.
