WVNN Hunstville schedule change?

I noticed that Todd Schnitt has been on from 5-7 in the afternoon. I went on WVNN's website and it says he is coming to the station January 5th from 10pm-1am. Mark Levin is moving from 7pm-9pm.

Any idea what's happening to Laura Ingraham? Is her show being cut down to just an hour in between Levin and Schnitt? Personally, I hope she is moving to mornings. She has a really good show.

We are dropping Laura Ingraham completely.

For what reason? She has one of the top talk radio programs in the country and has been on WVNN for years. Obviously your show was more important than hers to begin with because you took her off mornings to extend your show through the 8-9am hour. Could I please have some justification? I'm sure you will have other listeners upset also.

For what reason?
Talk Radio Network placed her on another station in the market.

I was hired for the 6-9AM slot to provide more local talk programming, which occured over 18 months ago.

Was Laura taken off because of 101 WYDE carrying her show? Also, what happened to Pamela Furr? I always enjoyed her programming and haven't heard her in a while.

Pamela Furr is on vacation as am I. Regular schedule returns January 5th.

Ingraham on WYDE? Yes, that is the reason.

VNN came in at #2 in the latest numbers, released Tuesday. I wouldn't change much. If it aint broke, don't fix it. That is their best showing ever, as far as I know.

Indeed it is but I dont think changing late evening program derails us.

Is there a little happiness? Yes.

But honestly, I am more sad than anything else.

A real programmer may be able to make that stick a player.

I seem them going all talk soon, but WERC AND WAPI have probably locked up anything worth a damn, except Laura. Mancow and Salem programming ain't gonna do it.

They need something strong and local and Crawford has no stomach for it.

Speaking of 101, I found a rare piece of history today. I was at B&W cafe off Hwy 278 between Cullman and Addison today and noticed a sticker behind the cash register that read the following:

Alabama's Superstation
REAL COUNTRY
WFMH FM 101

If Mr Eddins was able to see what his station has turned into (and if he's up above , I'm sure he knows) he would be disappointed.

Unfortunately, I am too young to remember that WFMH, But I sure remember 95.5 WFMH...was my favorite station, Now WKLD is, and soon they will be a thing of the past too.

BTW.. I heard WFMH (The Current one in Hackleberg) today. Their programming as changed a bit, leaning more Classic Country, sounds more like the way they used to ;D

I wish I had a few million to throw around; I'd like to buy WYDE and give Cullman and a big chunk of Alabama a hometown radio station. But, as soon as I did. I would likely realize what I had done and pull my hair out. ;D

Cullman's 101.1, proof positive of morons running radio stations.

If only 101 still was in Cullman. Their only relation to Cullman is the 1250' (to be 1500') tower they transmit from near Good Hope. Besides that, they couldn't give a flip about Cullman or any other city outside of where they target.

Welcome to the world of Corporate Radio. ::)

I have my kids trained. I'll be searching for something I find worthy to listen to on the radio while they're in the car with me, and I'll ask them what broadcast radio is/has become...and they'll look at me with that "do I have to dad?" look, lol, and then they'll answer... "a vast wasteland"... :D

It's a shame WYDE doesn't do better than it does with that monster signal it has, reaching into both Huntsville and Birmingham. IMO, the station does have potential, even if it is a flamethrower.
