WVNS V-102.5 streaming coming soon

Well I took a look at V102.5's web site and it says there's streaming coming soon. I can imagine streaming for their sister - 102.9 The Buzz is coming along as well. Wow, and years ago they told me they weren't going to stream in the near future.

We'll, it least it will have more listeners than 1010 WHIN on a Friday Night Gallatin High Game! :D I just had to say that Deltas 69 ;D

The former manager of another area station (which shall remain nameless) also said that said station would never stream online. However, they, too, are now streaming, although under different management.

CBS never owned any stations in Nashville? ??? That's gotta be Karmazin you're quoting.

Firepoint, I didn't know the ID was a tribute to your residency history.
I thought those were three cities the V-102 signal didn't work well in...

I learn something new everyday.

On a serious note --- is it interesting to anyone that the better this
station sounds, the lower the numbers are? Additionally, does the same
theory of why RQQ is failing (the floundering morning show) apply to
Dean and Lisa? I never hear much either way about their show. Any
one have anything to say.

Scott, you're right,,,the old transmitter was better. Just like us old
folks over 45. Pretty quiet on this board...is the swimming pool full of
Arbor Mist?

Let's break it down
Pegram= City of lisence
Clarksville= the only city that CAN pick it up
Nashville= the city they WISH the signal worked in

The station does sound a lot better(programming wise).........if it wasn't run so cheaply maybe it would perform better? Just a thought, spend some $$$ Bud!

Bud spending money? Unless it's a gadget (read:HD Transmitter) to impress his NAB pals, it ain't happening.

Posted as I sit here and listen to them "beat to beat and back to back"! 8)

I can pick them up just fine here in their city of license, which is also my current city of residence! ;D

However, whenever I am over at my sister's place (Pasquo area of Bellevue), I must listen to them on their translator frequency of 102.1. Her stereo won't lock into them on 102.5, and instead scans on over to 102.9.

Do they not still have a translator in Clarksville? They used to mention a second translator in Clarksville during their legal ID, but I don't hear mention of that one anymore, only 102.1 in Nashville.

I'm listened to Dean and Lisa some and I don't think it's them. Primarily, it's the lack of signal. Other than that, mornings are already so competitive here - I think Nashville is really set in their ways and there are very few people who will stop listening to someone they've listened to for years and worse yet, jump to a station that fades in and out, etc.

And, you're right - way too quiet on this board lately. Must be the heat!

Apparently, there must be something to this whole "city of license" thing. V-102.5 is about the only station in town whose signal I can't complain about! They come in real well here! :D ;) :p For some of the others, I must flip the stereo/mono switch back to "mono" because the static from when my stereo tries to pick up the signal in stereo can be quite annoying! ::)

And V-102.5 has actually been known to come down to Pegram, and actually do some live remotes here! Cool beans! ;D

NOCK --- hear that? A radio company is going past Music Row?
I don't want to at all bash Dean or Lisa, but can I express this thought?
In today's competitive world, you have to be on your game. I don't seem to hear alot of chemistry/pre-planning/scripting --- more just off
the cuff short discussions and forced laughs. Their energy is good, not over the top, crazy, etc. Not a bad thing. Could they be doing anything
differently to get listeners to lock in? I still think the 80's at 8 make listeners unsure of the format.
