WVOM news repeats--24 hours apart

I heard the exact same national newscast at 7:34pm yesterday and again at 7:34 this evening. It's bad enough to hear local wx forecasts recorded Friday afternoon that are horribly outdated and inaccurate by Sunday, but when a news/talk station repeats a national feed 24 hours later?? Are you kidding me?

It's saying something when the quality of a station's news operation goes downhill AFTER it's sold by Clear Channel. ;D

93.7 THE WAVE Their "LOCAL NEWS" FOR ELLSWORTH is THE BEST

Joe, After reading your rave reviews of WRMO I have tuned in from time to time at various hours and have not heard a live voice on the station. Come to think of it. it don't think I've even heard any voicetracking. There have been some tape delayed NBC Radio News ,other than that, pretty much song,sweeper,song.sweeper,song,sweeper.........where's the local in that? Am I missing something?

Hello, All!

I figured since I've got a mention on the board, it was about time for me to stop "lurking" and join in on some of the conversations!

I am the new "News Guy" at 93.7 The Wave! Been back on the air now for three weeks in the mornings... almost enough time to get fully acclimated to my alarm going off at 3 AM!

All of us at WRMO sincerely appreciate the feedback (and, occasionally, the love!) we've been receiving.

And there is more coming soon as we continue to grow our local presence. Stay tuned!

If I'm not mistaken, there were jocks when the station first signed on (this incarnation anyway) but since they had transmitter troubles, and gotten back up to full power, the jocks have seemed to disappear. Joe, maybe they'll be an opening for you in the future there with your name on it.
