WVON'S NATIONALLY SYNDICATED SHOWS

I am not enjoying the national shows like Michael Eric Dyson. The editing of the show is off, they cut off the program and begin playing commercials. Also, MED doesn't do a good job of interviewing people and has difficulty handling his call in load. Does he need a new producer?

Occassionally I find the topics to be of interest but in the middle of the sentence, the caller will be shut down or the person being interviewed. He is such a great talent and I would hate to see him pulled because he needed a better producer.

Bev Smith in her time slot is a bit much. Her show is tight when I have heard it but her energy and topics all say daytime.

Loving Cliff Kelley, Santita Jackson and Roland Martin. Just my thoughts....anyone care to comment on them, especially the snafus on the national front...is it bad work on behalf of production? Also, when the shows are on overnight, it get's a little confusing because they have the news soundbytes from the day before with times. Is there a way that they could edit that out because the news will come on at 5am and say that the time is 4 (pm). This is annoying as a listener.

You should call the station and talk with the Program Director about the editing of the show that sounds like a problem. Are you checking it out on the Radio or on the Internet? If you are listening to the station on the Internet, you may not hear all of the show because the commercials cannot be played over the Internet most stations don’t do a good job at covering the commercials breaks with filler music or other content. Also give them a little time to work out the bugs this is all-new to them and it is not easy if it was everyone would do it. Talk Radio is harder than Music formats it takes more people, money and resources. That is why you hear the reruns overnight.

I have been listening terrestrially. You make some valid points.

The shows are some of the greatest around for information you cannot get anywhere else.
