WVOS AM 1240 had severe hum on its audio last weekend

Was driving to Binghamton from NJ on Rt 17 thru the Liberty NY area last week Friday and was tuning on the AM dial in the car. Found a station at 1240 with severe hum, as if the power supply of its transmitter needs attention? Seem to remember, on a similar trip last year in Sept the same station having the same problem. I tuned around on my car radio, and other stations were clear sounding. I doubt anyone could listen to this station with this problem (they simucast their FM sister station). Even if the station is not at fault, something in the area is garbaging the airwaves around there and the FCC should chase it down.
