I disagree that they should shut this thing off, but the Roser Communication Network should stop calling it "Beautiful Music" on WVTL and their two sister stations. Radio is losing their target audience of 18 to 55 to new technologies and to use a 1000W AM stations to reach an older demographic makes sense if they can find local advertisers Older folks have money to spend and the myth that they are set in their ways when it comes to buying new brands falls apart since many of the old brands and stores are no longer around. I can no longer buy a Oldsmobile or a Plymouth. Personal computers were not around when I graduated from High School, yet this message on the Radio-Info Board in 2009. But Adult Standards is not the "Beautiful Music" format and the credibility factor comes into play when selling new products to an older audience when they advertise the format of their station which we know is incorrect because we grew up with the "Beautiful Music" format.
