WVTV/WCGV Upcoming Changes

I am wondering when WVTV-18 and WCGV-24 are going to reveal their new slogans?

Obviously everyone knows they will stop calling WVTV as "WB18" and WCGV will stop using "UPN24" and replace it with "CW18" and "My 24" respectfully.

Are they waiting until September 1st?

They are running promos between commercial breaks announcing and promoting the new networks. I'm just wondering when they will change their logos.

It doesn't look like they'll be changing the logos 'till the very last minute- probably not 'till after UPN and The WB are shut down. I'm wondering if there will be any major changes to the syndicated lineups on either station; and which one will get The Bucks games...

Up in Green Bay/Appleton, WACY has started plugging the new network and is calling itself "My New 32."

I just saw a commercial on WCGV for a new sitcom they're syndicating starting this fall and in that spot they call themselves "My 24". They might have debuted the new logo in that spot; but I wasn't paying much attention- it could've just been the "My Network" logo.

They did.

The new logo will be the "My" logo with "24" in the lower right square.

I know nothing about the new 18 logo.

I've seen a couple of "Coming This Fall" promos for According to Jim on WVTV, and their new logo will simply be "CW18": the curly "CW" on the left, an "18" in arial(?) font on the right, all in the white-on-green network color scheme.

Interesting that unlike Milwaukee, I haven't come across any local on-air promotion for either new network here in Madison as of yet--on either UPN14 (MY) or WBUW (CW)--and that's not counting the CW promos currently airing on the WB network.

I caught this last night. I was looking to see if I could cap that and the My24 logo. I had no luck with My24.

There's a long tradition going back to the old radio-info.com of posting about TV as well as radio on the Wisconsin board. As there's no Milwaukee or Wisconsin TV board, and most of the topics are of no interest in the national TV board, it just makes sense. You don't have to read them.

What's going to change on Sept. 5? A area for Milwaukee TV? Because WVTV debuts "The CW" and "CW18" will begin the start of the official new logo of the station. You will no longer see "WB18" at anytime after that.

WCGV also starts "My 24" but I doubt they are gonna wait until Sept. 24. Most likely earlier than that.

But I agree we could use a Milwaukee TV board here so not to bother those who are only interested in Milwaukee or Wisconsin radio.

I started this topic here because it pertains to Wisconsin and obviously would be of dinterest to the National TV board.
