WVUP-DT 45-1 Tallahassee

I know this is a radio board but what's up with WVUP-DT 45-1 CTN Tallahassee. I know it's a low power station and they are @ the old WCTV's tv station on County Rd. 12. I used to pick them up on digital. I call them and Kelly (the only guy) at the station saying everything seem to be fine here at the station. I told him that maybe not everyone is not picking up WVUP-DT singal. It's seem to me that the thier singal is not going to Crawfordville or Qunicy or other areas in the big bend. seem like the singal stays in the City of Tallahassee area. Kelly told me and said point your outside antenna roughly north-northeast and I did that but nothing happening. I dont know what they are doing. I used to pick them up when they were analog singal before everything went to digtal. I have WCTV,WFSU,WTWC,WTXL-DT singals are fine.

I haven't been over there in 3 weeks, but WVUP-LD was coming in just fine in the Fowlstown/Faceville area.

I'm use an old VHF rooftop yagi pointed toward Tallahassee.

Well Im in Wakulla County about 15 miles southeast of Tallahassee and im not picking it up it seem like most of thier singal stays in the Tallahassee area so Poledo if ur in the northside of Tallahassee i guess thier singal covers to the north than the south of Tallahassee.

Channel 45's signal is stronger up here after the digital swap.

Other questions about Tallahassee TV...

Why no Retro-TV? The only affiliate I can pick up is from Columbus.

I've never picked up a signal for WTLF channel 24. Aren't they on the WFSU tower? I should get a good signal from this station.

In the analog days WTWC had a very poor signal up here, but now I'm getting WTWC NBC 40 at 95%-100% even though they are running a scroll stating that they are on low power. What kind of upgrade do they have planned?

What ever happened to the translator on channel 35 that played a "color bar" test pattern for the past 10 years?

Are u talking about that low power TV station on channel 35 W35BN? I seen the channel on the analog they used to play music vedios from W21BK low power TV station in Tallahassee. Right now W35BN is still on the air but saying vedio touble it been doing that for a long time for a while. I dont know who runs W35BN

WFSU-DT tower is on hwy. 20 west (I think) near the leon/liberty county line.

RTN was going to New Age Media @ FOX 49 WTLH but nothing happing at this point while WTLF has the CW+

I know this is an old topic, but I just replaced an antenna that a pine tree took out. When I did a rescan (zip code 39819, Curry Hill, Fowlstown/Faceville, GA) WVUP-LD was the strongest signal I could get! They must be on the top of one of those tall towers with a side mounted antenna facing north-west. Other than WVUP's steady 95%+ signal, I had the worst TV reception since the analog shut down.
