The sad thing is, Tampa used to be one of the hottest local talk markets in the country. You could fill a room with the success stories that launched here.

I've read about Tampa's glory days as a talk radio haven. Bob Lassiter was a titan in the field.
Look at how Crap Channel treated him.
I think Crap Channel has runited talk radio in Tampa, Miami and other places.
The only thing that media monopolist wanted to do whenever it buys a station is to cut costs so more money can go to co. hqs.
Replace nearly all local staff and talent and fill as much of the day with the crutch of syndication.
Good for people like Hannity and Beck but bad for listeners who expect
some local talk.
CC also owns the most powerful AM signals in Tampa. Look how weak in signal WWBA is.
That gives the media giant more leverage to control and ruin the market.

I do hope WWBA makes some headway. I am obviously no fan of CC and what the megaopolist has done to radio.
