The subject line above is basically all they've had to say for some time. What's the deal with 96.9 WWBW-LP Norwich anyway? They're across the river from Mohegan Sun, but have a Higganum address. For months, they have been shuffling various assorted greatest hits albums, sometimes replaying songs 3 times back to back, with some stuff played at inexplicably slow speed with a nasty buzz that sounds like someone hooked up the CD jack wrong! WHBE Long Island moves from 96.7 to 96.9 Friday. With severe interference guaranteed from New London up past Norwich, are they (or 96.9 in Ashaway, RI for that matter) considering moving to 97.1 or 96.7? Are they ever signing on with any real programming besides stunting?
WWBW comes in well in the northern part of Montville and southern half of Norwich. There are almost 5000 Chinese residents there. Noncomm or not, it sounds like a ready-made audience!
Edited by CT Radio Guy on 02/09/06 03:58 PM.
