WWCD Relocation

If they're concerned about things reminding them of Andy and Wendy, why are they hanging onto the CD101 brand, anyway?

And notice what's missing from the "Other Paper" story linked here? "102.5"

I suppose you could make an argument for the paper's readers not needing to be reminded of the frequency, but still...

I think moving they should drop the drop the 101 name... However I have friends who listen to CD102.5 and and they still call it 'cd101'

why would your friends call it anything else than cd101, the station only calls it self cd101 at every break.

And that is WWCD's fault. Any other station would have changed their name to reflect their new dial position. For some reason, WWCD is so poorly run that they want to hang onto a old number, even when tOSU ordered them in the sales agreement NOT TO DO SO.

What an utter joke of a station.

And they haven't fixed the poor audio quality since the move. A joke indeed.

I don't have a problem with CD101 still using the name. They have had it for a long time and it doesn't make a direct reference to the location 101.1 FM. But now, they constantly say CD101 @ 102.5FM. They should say it sometimes, but the "@ 102.5 FM" part isn't required to be mentioned several times an hour cause everyone has a digital dial that tells them where they are at these days.

I have friends at CD101 who I love and respect, and this is in no way meant to be disrespectful to them.

However, I thought this was a good opportunity to bring back one of this board's funniest posts, from Nu_Roo_2:
