WWCO 1240 sold to Trignition Media

Connoisseur Media has sold the last piece of the Talk of Connecticut - WWCO AM 1240 in Waterbury to Trignition Media for $260,000. The deal includes the new 106.3 translator. Trignition Media owns the New Britain licensed WRYM 840 and its 107.3 translator known as "Viva 107.3/840".

I don't know what Trignition Media has in store for WWCO, but if WWCO is going to flip to a Spanish music format similar to that of WRYM, they're going to be in direct competition with Full Power Radio's BOMBA 99.5 - and in my opinion BOMBA is a superior station to VIVA 107.3/840.
